Biography

Italian foil fencer Gianguido Milanesi represented SS Cassa di Risparmio in Milano. Milanesi was part of Italy’s team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics where they finished in seventh place. In the first round he fought in four bouts against Australia, winning them all, with Italy winning the match 13–3. In the quarter-finals, however, Italy lost 9–5 to France with Milanesi losing all four of his bouts. In the classification round Italy had another 9–5 defeat, this time to the Unified Team of Germany, with Milanesi winning one of his three bouts.
