Biography

Pentti Larvo’s original name was Lindsten. In the 1936 Olympic game against Peru he played center forward and scored one goal for the Finnish national team. Between 1929-37 he played 31 matches for the Finnish team, scoring four goals. With his club Helsingin Palloseura (HPS) Larvo won Finnish championships in 1929, 1932, 1934 and 1935. During his career he scored a total of 40 goals in matches of the championship series. Larvo received the Olympic silver medal that the Danish football player Nils Middelboe donated to the Finnish footballers distinguished in the Continuation War.
