Biography

Jack Barreau joined RCF Paris in 1936 when he was just 13-years-old, playing for the club for more than 20 years. As an amateur footballer Barreau was selected to represent France at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, playing in their 2–1 defeat to Poland in the qualifying round. With no-round robin or group stage at the Games, it was the French team’s only match of the tournament. After his playing career Barreau worked in multiple roles at RCF including as a board member, club secretary, and vice-President, and later as the manager of the first team.
