Biography

French football midfielder Jean-Baptiste Bordas began his professional career with AS Saint-Étienne in 1957. To the end of the 1963 season Bordas played 88 matches with the club, before playing one season with Le Havre AC. He returned to Saint-Étienne, playing two seasons with the club, with him then spending spells at AS Béziers and Arago Orleans. Bordas also worked in the dual role of player-coach at Orleans until 1976. He then spent three non-consecutive stints as the coach of US Orléans, finishing his coaching career with the club in 1994. Bordas had a brief international career, playing in four matches in France’s qualification campaign for the 1960 Roma Olympics, and the matches against Peru and Hungary at the Games themselves.
