Biography

A lawyer by profession, Chiara Perona began her journey as a football referee in 2005, and three years later decided to pursue a career in Futsal. After working through the regional and national refereeing system, Perona was added to the list of FIFA international Futsal referees in 2016.

In addition to participation in the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics Perona officiated in some other important matches including the Russia-Ukraine match in the final of the 2018 Women’s University World Championship. In 2019 she refereed the final of the Women’s European Championship between Spain and Portugal. That same year she was named the best Italian referee and in 2021 refereed the final of the Italian Men’s Futsal Cup between Pesaro and Eboli.
