Biography

Aziz Asli was an Iranian goalkeeper in football, who was also an actor, and stage manager in his non-sporting life. In football he played for Daraei FC, starting in 1949, and joining Persepolis FC in 1955. He was on the Iranian team that won the 1968 Asian Cup. During his career with the Iranian national team he earned 24 caps. Asli acted in many films before the Iranian Islamic Revolution, and is best known for Conquerors of the Desert (1971), Keshtye Noah (1968) and Never Without Love (1966).
