Biography

Maino Neri played for 10 years with Modena, scoring seven goals in 313 league matches in Serie A. He was sent down to Serie B a few times, before joining FC Internazionale at 27-years-old. Neri won two Serie A Championships with the “nerazzurri” in 1952/53 and 1953/54, playing with them for four years before closing his career with Brescia.

Neri captained the Italian team at the 1948 Olympics, and earned eight international caps, including playing at the 1954 World Cup against Switzerland and Belgium. He later was a coach for many years with Internazionale, Modena, SS Lazio, Como, Reggina, and Lecce.
