Biography

Alfredo Pitto was a midfielder who played in the Italian leagues from 1921-38 with various teams. He started with Livorno but in 1927 moved to FC Bologna, helping them win the Italian title in the 1928/29 season. He later played with Fiorentina, Ambrosiana-Inter, and finished his career with Piombino, although he again played for Livorno from 1936-37.

Pitto earned 29 caps with the Azzurri from 1928-35, but missed the team for the 1934 FIFA World Cup, which Italy won. In 1935 he played for the winning Italian team in the second European Cup. He also helped Italy win the Central European International Cup in 1930 and 1935.
