Biography

Until 1917, Arie Bieshaar played football for VRA. When the club abandoned its football section, he joined HFC Haarlem. Bieshaar made his début as a midfielder for the club in 1917 and had his last appearance in 1934. He played 285 games for HFC scoring 119 goals. Between 1920 and 1923 Bieshaar played four games for the Dutch national team, including two at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics. His older brother Joop also played for Ajax Amsterdam between 1917-21. He worked as a clerk.
