Biography

Louis-Charles Marty was conscripted for military service in 1911. One year later, he competed the individual all-around at the Olympic Games in Stockholm and placed 11th. After World War I, he returned in 1920 for the 1920 Olympics finishing 13th in the same event. He won his only international medal with the French team at the 1922 World Championships. Marty married in 1921 in Perpignan and became a secondary school teacher.
