Very little is known about Conrad Böcker, who won two gold medals with the 1896 German gymnastics team, but was unplaced in individual events. After their return home, most team participants were excluded from the reactionary German Gymnastics Association as they were “involved in a sporting event dedicated to internationalism.” The winning teams were banned from national competitions in Berlin. Böcker first competed for the Turngemeinde in Berlin, but later switched to Turnverein Warnsdorf, which is in present day Czech Republic. Only results in regional competitions are known for Böcker.
