Biography

West German gymnast Adalbert Dickhut participated at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He finished fourth in the all-around team event and finished 54th in the all-around individual competition. In 1956 he was the European Champion in the horse vault.

He came to prominence in 1956 when he anchored a television sports program called 10 Minuten mit Adalbert Dickhut (10 minutes with Adalbert Dickhut). The program was made for children and demonstrated simple sport exercises. He also founded the German Gymnast School in Frankfurt on in 1959.
