Biography

Nicolas Kanive represented Luxembourg at the Olympics as a gymnast and a track and field athlete. Kanive competed in gymnastics at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics where he finished in 20th place in the individual all-round event. He was part of Luxembourg’s team that finished in fourth place in the all-round event and in fifth place in the all-round free system event. Kanive was also selected to compete in the decathlon at the Stockholm Games but did not start the event. After World War I Kanive competed in the long jump at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics, finishing in 29th and last place.
