Biography

Henry Kraft was born as Heinrich Philipp Kraft at Bad Kreuznach in Germany. He immigrated to the United States and changed his first name to Henry. He then competed in four events at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. He competed in the individual all-around (76th); the individual all-around, apparatus work (65th); the individual all-around, field sports (=79th); and the team all-around, apparatus work and field sports (7th). Kraft represented the Turnverein Vorwärts in Chicago.
