Biography

Despite playing only two matches at the Olympics, Aldona Česaitytė-Nenėnienė managed to win two Olympic gold medals. A native Lithuanian, she was member of the victorious Soviet team in both 1976 and 1980. She also played in the 1978 World Championships, where a first round loss against Czechoslovakia cost them a gold medal, having to settle for silver. With Žalgiris Kaunas she won three Lithuanian titles, and placed second in the 1978 Soviet Championships, while taking the 1982 domestic cup.
