Biography

Zlatko Portner played handball for Yugoslavia at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, winning a bronze medal, and helping them win the 1986 World Championships. He started his career with RK Crvenka from 1980-82, but had his best years with RK Metaloplastika in 1985-86 and FC Barcelona in 1991, winning Champions Cup titles in those years. Portner also played in France from 1992-94 and then in Switzerland with BSV Bern and TV Zofingen until he retired in 2002.
