Nim Greenwood attended school at Sydney Boys High School, graduating in 1946, while his senior rowing was done at the Leichhardt Rowing Club in Sydney. He was a member of the NSW King’s Cup Crew from 1950-55, winning in both 1950-51. Greenwood sat in the 3rd seat for the Australian eight that won bronze at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, the best international result, to that time, by an Australian men’s sweep boat. Greenwood was McVilly-Pearce pin holder #71. The pin was presented to his daughter, Anne Tucker, at the 2016 Sydney International Rowing Regatta, who later presented it to her father at the Terrey Hills Nursing Home, where he died later in the year.
