Biography

German boxer Willi Roth from Mannheim was eliminated at the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games in the last 16 in the featherweight division. Four years later in Melbourne he appeared as a light-welterweight, and again lost in the last 16. In 1955 Roth was runner-up at the German Championships, but went on to win his only national title the following year.
