Dietmar Schwarz was an East German rower who was a member of the coxed eights crew that won the bronze medal at the 1972 München Olympics. The boat lost the silver medal by only 6/100 seconds against the US. 1971 he was East German Champion in coxed fours, and also earned a silver medal at the Europeans. The trained waiter later ran a pub in Berlin.
