Axel Gabrielsson rowed in the Göteborgs RF’s inriggers coxed four at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics together with his older brother Charles. The boat did not reach the second round after losing to the eventual gold medallists from Denmark.
Axel was a salesman and later a wholesaler. In 1916, he married Ingeborg Margareta Norberg, who worked as a clerk. Together they had three sons.
