In her bid to qualify for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, Obregón set several national records in the recurve bow to secure her place at the Games. In Barcelona she placed 57th in the ranking round, with only the top 32 progressing to the next phase. Through to the 2024 Games in Paris, Obregón was the last Costa Rican archer to compete at the Olympics.
