Biography

Gus Erker came to the United States from Germany when he was 13 years old. He rowed in many regattas, both in the United States and Europe, primarily as a member of St. Louis’ Century Boat Club. Erker overcame the handicap of having only one eye, which caused a lack of depth perception.
