Biography

Mohamed Ahmed won numerous national Egyptian titles over the course of his career, but his most important victory came in 1952, when he won the free pistol, 50 metres event. This led to his selection to represent Egypt in that competition at that year’s Helsinki Olympics, where he placed 45th among the 48 entrants. He had competed previously at the 1951 Mediterranean Games. Following his retirement from active competition, he garnered more notability as an administrator, serving as president of both the Egyptian and the Arab sport shooting federations, as well as a member of the Egyptian Olympic Committee. By career, he was an officer in the Egyptian military.
