Biography

Trap shooting specialist Hassan Moaffi was a member of the Egyptian national team and won a gold medal in the team trap event at the 1959 Mediterranean Games, alongside Hussam El-Badrawi, Seifollah Ghaleb, and the non-Olympian Hussam Al-Barar. Individually, he was fifth. His only appearance at the Olympics came at the 1960 Rome Games, when the country was known as the United Arab Republic due to its union with Syria. There, he competed in the trap competition, but failed to advance out of the qualifying round. A member of the Egyptian Shooting Club at Dokki, he second behind El-Badrawi at the 1959 national championships, and was still competing in the same month of his sudden death. By career, he was a lawyer.
