Biography

Maurice Racca was a French sports shooter who mainly competed with the small-bore rifle. He won four medals at the 1955 Mediterranean Games in Barcelona, with a silver in the 50 metres small-bore rifle three positions, and bronze in the 50 metres small-bore rifle, also in the standing, kneeling, and prone positions. The following year Racca participated at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics where he finished in 28th place in the three positions event and 39th place in the prone. Racca died in September 2023 only six weeks shy of him celebrating his 101st birthday.
