Mohinder Lal was a sports shooter who worked for India’s Border Security Force as a deputy inspector general. In 1980 Lal was selected to compete in the 25 metres rapid pistol event at the Moskva Olympics but he did not start the event. In 1984 Lal returned the Olympics where he tied for 34th in the 25 metres rapid pistol. Six years later he finished seventh in the standard pistol at the Asian Games in Beijing.
