Biography

Roland Scott was the son of Dr. Roland Boyd Scott (1909–2002), a noted pediatrician and medical researcher. An attorney, Scott attended Harvard University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1961, later earning his law degree from Columbia Law School. Moving to the United States Virgin Islands by the 1970s, Scott was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Legal Services of the Virgin Islands, Inc. and member of the board of directors of the Saint Croix Chamber of Commerce. Scott was a member of the United States Virgin Islands sports shooting delegation to the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, competing in the free pistol, 50 metres event. He moved back to the United States upon his retirement.
