John Forman competed at the 1956 Olympics while working for the US Border Patrol. He competed at the 1955 Pan American Games, where he helped the US pistol team win three team gold medals. Forman also won two 1955 Pan Am bronze medal individually in rapid-fire pistol and centre fire pistol.
