Frank Little

Frank Little was a legendary trapshooter in the United States. He represented the US on five international teams, including at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. At the Grand American tournament, Little earned 53 trophies. He earned his first Grand American trophy in 1962 when he finished third in the Champion of Champions Race. He won seven High-Over-All awards between 1966-76, including five consecutive from 1969-73. He was runner-up in 1971, third in 1970 and 1972 and won three Class AA trophies.

Fifteen (15) times Little had a yearly average of over 99.0%, with a minimum of 2,500 singles targets. In 1980 he was the ATA singles average leader with 99.416%. He recorded over 60 200 straights and more than 600 perfect 100s during his career. Little led the Trap & Field All-Around Average Award standings in 1971 and earned recognition from them in 10 years, 1968-74, 1976, 1980 and 1984. He was a member of ATA All-American teams over 30 times, including 17 first-team selections. Little’s business career was in management with IBM. He was inducted into the Trapshooting Hall of Fame in 1987.
