Biography

Swimmer Grete Ittlinger was a member of the Austrian 4x100 metres freestyle relay squad at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. They finished fifth and last in their heat, 26 seconds behind Hungary, and were eliminated. Ittlinger was only 14-years-old at the time of the Olympics but went on to become a dominant female Austrian freestyle swimmer.
