Biography

Xandi Worisch was an Austrian synchronised swimmer who competed at the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics. She finished 10th with Eva-Maria Edinger in the duet and came 10th in the solo event.

At the 1981 European Championships Worisch won the bronze medal, again partnering Edinger, and in 1985 the pair won the European gold medal as their greatest international achievement. Worisch also won the bronze medal in the solo event and, in 1987, added a silver medal.

At the World Championships, Worisch won the gold medal in the solo event in 1978 and at the 1982 Worlds finished eighth with Edinger and was ninth in the solo event. She was fifth individually in 1985.

After her active career, Worisch initially worked as a coach and later became a physiotherapist in Wolkersdorf im Weinviertel. She was the daughter of Olympian divers Eva Pfarrhofer and Franz Worisch and the sister of Michael Worisch. Her niece Nadine Brandl participated in the 2008 and 2012 Games as a synchronised swimmer.
