Biography

Diver Dieter Dörr was eliminated in the qualification rounds of both the springboard and platform events at the 1976 Montréal Olympics. In 1980 West German sportsmen were not allowed to start due to the US-led boycott. Dörr then came back in 1984 at Los Angeles and finished sixth in the platform event and tenth in the springboard final. Domestically, he earned 39 West German national titles. By profession, he was an administrative officer and regional politician in Gelnhausen.
