Biography

Borbála Sóthy was three-time Hungarian champion with the 4x100m freestyle relay. In 1936-1937, as a swimmer of BSE, and in 1938 with FTC. In 1936, she achieved a national record in the 500 metres freestyle. In 1936, Sóthy competed in the 400m freestyle at the Olympics, where only two swimmers competed in her preliminary heat, so she easily reached the semi-final. In the semi she finished last and did not qualify to the final. In 1939, she transferred to the MUE.
