Biography

Laura Gorgerino was a swimmer who raced the 4x100 free relay at the 1972 München Olympics and the 1973 World Championships. A sprint specialist, Gorgerino later appeared at the 1973 Five Nations Meet in Dortmund, the 1973 Coppa Caduti di Brema, and the Latin Cup from 1973 to 1975. She was Italian champion in the 100 free in 1972, was runner-up in 1972 and 1975, and third in 1973. She also placed third in the 1975 Italian 100 butterfly championship. Gorgerino won national titles with S.S. Lazio in the medley relay from 1972 to 1974 and the 4x100 freestyle relay in 1972, 1974, and 1975.
