Biography

Swedish freestyle swimmer Lars Svantesson represented IF Elfsborg in Borås. Svantesson was part of the team that swam in the 4 × 200 metres freestyle relay at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics where Sweden finished in fourth place, less than one second behind the third-placed French team. He also swam in the 100 metres freestyle in Helsinki, finishing in fifth place in his heat, and 37th place overall.
