Biography

Wendy Boglioli won her only AAU title when she took the 1976 100m butterfly but she was also a good freestyler and fourth place in the 100m at the 1976 Final Trials earned her a place on the Olympic relay team. The relay gold was the only one earned by the U.S. women at Montréal and one of only two which eluded the East Germans. Boglioli graduated from Monmouth College and then worked for a short time as an assistant coach for her club team, the Central Jersey Aquatic Club. She married Bernie Boglioli in August 1975.
