Biography

Mavis Freeman swam the 100m and 400m at the 1936 U.S. Trials and earned a place on the relay team for the Berlin Olympics. She swam the third leg for the team which took the bronze medals. Mavis Freeman represented the Women’s Swimming Association of New York and won the AAU long distance title in 1936 and 1937.
