Biography

Melisa Moses competed on springboard at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, just missing a medal as she finished fourth. Moses was US Champion on the 3-metre springboard in 1994-95 and also won the 1-metre title in 1994. She competed at the 1992 Olympic Trials, finishing sixth, and that year won the Alamo International on the 1-metre board. She also won a silver medal at the 1995 Pan American Games.

Moses started out as a gymnast but switched to diving after a severe injury in 1987. She competed through the 2000 Olympic Trials, and after missing the team, retired from competition. As Melisa Hyams, she later became the diving coach at the University of North Florida and ran a junior program, North Florida Diving.
