Biography
In front of her hometown crowd, Marion Roper placed third in the platform at the Los Angeles Olympics to complete a clean sweep of the medals for the United States. Roper was born Marion Charlotte Dale in Chicago. She later married William Roper and settled in the Los Angeles area, where she lived until her death.
