Biography

Tori Trees swam for the University of Texas, where she won the 1985 NCAA title in the 200 yard backstroke, and helped Texas win four NCAA team titles. She later became a graduate assistant at Texas, but after marriage, moved to Houston. In 1989 Trees-Smith became Aquatics Director for the Houstonian Club, coaching summer league and USS teams. She and her family moved to Denver in 2000 where she worked as an age group coach for Greenwood Athletic Club and coached high school swimming.
