Biography

Best known as a backstroke swimmer, Dave Wilson graduated from UC Berkeley in 1983. He competed at the 1983 Universiade in the backstroke, finishing fifth in the 100, and was 1984 US Short-Course 100 back champion. After the Olympics Wilson earned an MBA degree from Southern Methodist University.

Wilson entered the real estate business, working with several well-known names in the field in the southeast, including Lincoln Property Company, Hines (for 14 years), and Southern Land Company (starting in 2004), where he was executive vice-president of mixed use development. He later founded Fifth Lane Real Estate Company in 2009, based in Franklin, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville.
