Biography

Polish-born German water polo player Piotr Bukowski participated in the 1992 Barcelona and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He finished seventh and ninth respectively with the German teams. Nationally, he played with Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 from 1985-99. He helped them win the German Championship 14 times in 1985-92 and 1994-99, and the German Cup ten times between 1985-99. In 1985 and 1988, they also won the European Champions Cup. After his retirement Bukowski turned to coaching. His son Erik also became a water polo player.
