Biography

Zenon Bortkevich, a career navy officer serving in Caspian Flotilla, played his entire career with KKF Baku. He never won a Soviet championships title with them, but won a silver in 1967 and bronzes in 1957 and 1965. He also won bronze at the 1964 Olympics and silver at the 1961 Universiade. After retiring from sports, Bortkevich continued serving in navy and retired in the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
