Gavin Arroyo played water polo for the USA at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. He also won a gold medal in 1997 at the FINA World Cup. Arroyo also won gold medals at the 1995 and 1999 Pan American Games. Arroyo played in college at U Cal Berkeley.
Arroyo played professionally in Europe. He was with Olympiakos, Vouliagmeni, and Glyfaada in Greece, and played for Barcelona and CN Atlètic-Barceloneta. With Olympiakos from 1997-99, Arroyo helped win the Greek Championship in 1999, the Greek Cup in 1998, and the Greek Super Cup in 1998. He was twice a runner-up at the LEN Cup Winners’ Cup, in 1998 and 1999.
