Biography
Ruth de Souza played on the Brazilian women’s basketball team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, playing the 5 position. Ruth won gold medals at the 1994 World Cup and the 1991 Pan American Games, adding a silver medal at the 1987 Pan Ams. Ruth died from complications after she developed COVID-19 in 2021.
