Mohammad Nassiri had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1968 Olympics Bantamweight class (367.5 kg); 2nd in the 1972 Olympics Bantamweight class (370.0 kg); 3rd in the 1976 Olympics Flyweight class (235.0 kg); 3rd in the 1966 World Championships Bantamweight class (360.0 kg); 1st in the 1968 World Championships Bantamweight class (367.5 kg); 1st in the 1969 World Championships Bantamweight class (360.0 kg); 1st in the 1970 World Championships Bantamweight class (362.5 kg); 3rd in the 1971 World Championships Bantamweight class (360.0 kg); 2nd in the 1972 World Championships Bantamweight class (370.0 kg); 1st in the 1973 World Championships Flyweight class (240.0 kg); 1st in the 1974 World Championships Flyweight class (232.5 kg); 3rd in the 1976 World Championships Flyweight class (235.0 kg).
