Biography

Kaarlo Koskelo had a very brief wrestling career, which was interrupted by World War I. The 1912 Olympic featherweight title is the only major international title that Koskelo earned and, during his career, he never won a Finnish title. After fighting in WWI and the Finnish Civil War, Koskelo emigrated to the United States in 1919 and settled in Astoria, Oregon, where he became a prominent local businessman.
