Together with Zavire Carcereri, Alessandro Covre represented his club Scaligera Verona winning the 1910 team championship in Italy. In the trials for the Stockholm Olympics, he defeated the injured 1908 gold medalist Enrico Porro in a controversial decision. In Stockholm, Covre won his first bout by decision but was eliminated after losing the next two bouts by fall.
