Biography

Ernst Nilsson achieved early success in 1913 when he became World Champion in the light-heavyweight division in Greco-Roman style. He managed to repeat this feat in 1922 in the heavyweight division. At the Olympics he participated in 1912 in Stockholm in the middleweight B division and after World War I moved up to heavyweight class in both styles in 1920 and 1924.
