Biography

Ed Dewitt was NCAA Champion in 1956-57 while wrestling for the University of Pittsburgh. He was also a two-time Pennsylvania state champion in high school, winning in 1950 and 1951 while representing Chartriers Township and nearby Trinity High School. In 1957 DeWitt won the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) title. DeWitt won the 1960 US Olympic Trials, placing fourth at the Olympics Games. He is a member of the EIWA Hall of Fame.
